Customer relationship management programs

We're a very small operation, nevertheless we need to have some way to track
and store info about our customers and follow up calls etc.
The problem is most "CRM" packages are priced for so-called 'medium' or
'large' companies, where 'medium' starts at a hundred or so employees.
Naturally they're priced accordingly.

Anyone know of share/budgetware out there which will do the job?
