Custom window in Outlook

Hi,

I'm building an Outlook add-in in VC++ (if that matters). What I
would like to do is when the user switches to the folder I created,
instead of the view (and eventually preview pane) that appears, I
would like to show my own window, or at least I don't want to be bound
to the restrictions imposed by the Outlook views. The only method I
found was to set a default Home Page of the folder to a page of my own
that contains an ActiveX control that will simulate this. Is there any
other way to go around this, as I would like to use MFC windows and
controls
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Doru K.
