Can someone please guide me in the correct direction. I am not an it person
and wish to do the following for my company. I do not know the correct
terminology, so I will ask in plain english.

I wish to develop a system where after our employees enter their username
and password on our network, a custom window appears with information of the
day. This information will be typed in the previous night, and will be
displayed before the desktop is generated.
Is there a way to do this.

I would build a GINA stub to do what you are talking about.
