i have dell dimension 4700 running on windows xp pro w/ wp2. outlook 2003
will revert the custom views after a day or two. i set the views, it stays
and then reverts back in a day or two. the custom views i am referring to can
be accessed by right clicking near the top where it says "arranged by:" and
selecting custom then the fields button.

i have applied all the updates to microsoft office 2003 sbe.

try making a new view then applying that view, not editing a default view.
also see this: http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm to learn how
to clean the views and edit default views. This method should stick.
