I use my pc to record, track my business, process labels,
etc.. No one else uses my pc, so I use each seperate user
account as a seperate set up for each function. I know how
to set up hardware configurations, but I don't want my
anti virus and firewall or any nonpertenent programs to
load when I boot up for recording. I want to set up
programs and hardware per user name, because many
conflicts occur between hardware and programs that need to
be tweaked. It can only be done by keeping them
seperated.WinXp does not seem to be able to customize my
fire wall or antivirus; they either stay on or off as I
set them. They won't stay off for one configuration and
boot for another.
I would like to know where to find the information for
this and one more thing. I record sound with a program
that uses 88% of my 950MHz cpu for video calculations.
this runs my cpu at 100%. I discovered that an open right
click dialog box drops my cpu use to 12% by temporarily
disabling my video driver during playback. Does anyone
know how to diasble the video function when it isn't
required?
Thanks, Joe LaBonte,
new windows xp purchaser and user.
