Is there anyway to create a custom 'Status'? for Windows Messenger 5.0

Greetings,

No, you can't really create your own status. However, what you can do is just add your away
reason to your display name. To do so, open up the main Messenger window, click the Tools
menu, then Options, and add a reason to your display name (probably in brackets). So if your
display name now is Sam, change it to:
Jel (Went Shopping)
and then set yourself as away -- you'll then appear to your contacts as:
Jel (Went Shopping) (Away).

You can also use Messenger Plus to add this automatically for you, like this:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/scr...sgplusaway.gif (under the Name tag suffix)

You can find Messenger Plus here:
http://www.msgplus.net
(if you are installing Messenger Plus, you probably don't want to install the 'Sponsor' as
doing so will install ad-software on your PC)
