When choosing to create a custom rule I am presented with a dropdown box which is empty. Does anyone know how to actually create a custom rule. I want to copy an incoming email to a specified folder (this part works ok) but i also want to mark the email as read in the new folder I have copied it to. Any suggestions?

If you are talking about Custom Actions, read here:

If you provide your Outlook version, I can give you more specific
instructions.

Same question as Barry, for outlook 2003
I'm using an IMAP account and want to recreate outlook express' behavior. If I send a message from outlook, the sent message should be stored in the IMAP server's "Sent Items" folder, marked as read, and deleted. I can use the custom rules wizard to move a copy of the message over to the server, but don't know how to delete the copy in my local .pst file and mark the sent message as read in the IMAP folder
