KC,
Maybe you could use a seq field.
Press Ctrl-F9 which gives you a pair of {}
Then type the following between them {SEQ number \# C-0000}
Then press F9 to update it which should give you C-0001. Copy the field
enough times till you have all the desired numbers select and update with
F9.
