custom dictionary/wildcards

Can I add entries to the dictionary using wildcards? For example, I want to
ignore spell check on any string *_* any word with an underscore somewhere
between the beginning and end.

Sorry, no, Word doesn't understand wildcards in the dictionary -- it would
be treated as literal text.
