I read article ID 319974: how to create a custom default user

profile in Windows XP and followed the instructions except step

6. It does not explain if by copying the default user profile to the

already established users profiles their data files remain

unchanged or if any files would be erased upon clicking the copy

command.
My question is do I need to backup each user File folders before

selecting the copy command in case individual data is erased?
Or the default user profile is deployed over the already set users

profiles?
Any help is appreciated
