Hullo Everyone,

A quick question. I am trying to make all negative numbers come up as
zero with a dollar sign. I tried the ´general;"0" ' one but that
doesnt include the dollar sign. Any ideas or tips?

Thanks again,
MP

Did you already disqualify from the Worksheet menu bar:

Format, Cells, Number Tab, Currency?

Right, that throws up the $ sign, but I still need all negative
numbers to become 0´s. That's why I was thinking I need a type of
custom format.

General;$"0"

Positive;negative;0;text
is the order of those pieces.

This doesn't change the value--it just changes the display.

Hi MP and Dave,

When I enter General;$"0", the positive numbers are not formatted with
a dollar sign. Is that what you wanted?

The OP wasn't specific:

I am trying to make all negative numbers come up as
zero with a dollar sign. I tried the ´general;"0"

Sorry for any miscommunication, I´ve come across that the original
value is still used in my total. Is there a way to change both the
value and the display. I was under the impression changing the display
would change the total if a negative number was present.

Thanks for the help-
