I want to apply a custom animation to all slides in my presentation. How do I
do that so I don't have to do each separately. I want to use the same
animation on each slide through out the presentation.

Go to slide master view and apply the animations to the placeholders there.
If you need more detail it will help to state the version you use.

If the animations are applied to the placeholders on the masters then they
will be inherited automatically by the placeholders on the slides.
