In Word 2007, I can not move the cursor using the buttons on the mouse or the
touchpad. I have run Office 2007 Repair, diagnostics and tried all the
settings I can find all to no avail. The cursor works in every other
program, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm tired of
having to use the arrow keys to move the cursor.

The times that I've seen this problem in Word 2007, it has been solved by
deleting or renaming the Data key in the registry. In Word 2007, it's
located here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word

You do this by using the registry editor.
