i have a sony laptop. the cursor will just randomly jump to some random
place where i have already typed, while i am typing. is this a sony or a MS
problem. thanks

Is this a laptop? Are you accidentally tapping the touchpad with your thumb
as you type?

Neither - it's your problem! The heel of your thumb is gently brushing the
touchpad. It happens to me all the time and it's a bloody nuisance. Lots
of other people suffer it, too.

(If you don't believe me, borrow a normal keyboard and plug it in - I
guarantee the problem will disappear).

Some touchpad drivers let you reduce the sensitivity, but I've never had
much luck. Maybe you'll have to learn to position your hands a little
higher.
