I sort of use the machine sporadically. My work involves a bit of phone time
and sometimes I will notice after a call that the cursor dissappeared. Other
times, its while I am using it, so I do not think it is a screen saver issue.
Actually heading off on vacation for a week+ so to anyone who may attempt an
assist, I will be back. Thanks to all for their suggestions....I really
think it is some sort of Microsoft induced error.
On the other hand, I did notice some USB port not recognized error
yesterday. I have a Gateway desktop and have to admit is has never performed
as well as I expected. At one time, my system had a hard crash and when I
brought it in for repairs, as they pulled each card and tried a restart, I
was told that the USB hub wasn't in well. And when pulled and then
reinserted, it worked. I am considering this might have something to do
with it since this is a USB mouse--but can't be sure.
