I have no cursor in MSWord.

I can type, but have no cursor to tell me where I am in
the document.

This is a new problem. I've always had a cursor and am not
aware of making any changes.

Thanks for your help,

Dave

Problem resolved!

First, I discovered that the cursor I referred to is
technically the "insertion point."

My son suggested that I reboot the PC, which solved the
problem. But who knows why?

Thanks for considering my problem.

Dave

Two reasons:

1. Children always no more!
2. Probably a glitch in the graphics card that needed a hard reset to sort
itself out.

I can't believe I wrote '1. Children no more!' It should be 1. Children KNOW
more!

Totally off-topic, but I have heard a theory that email uses the talking
function of the brain rather than the writing part, and so people who
normally never misspell tend to mix up homonyms in email, b/c in talking
there would be no difference between "know" and "no."

Interesting. And to get back to the topic, it should be a law that no user
can post a question about *anything* before rebooting since that solves so
many problems!
