Dear all,

How do I change the currency sign? To get UK pounds I changed my computer
settings to UK, as I could not find it under format cells,
currency....surely there must be a better way. I have spreadsheets with $ ,
£ and would like to add Euros.

Thanks,

Danny

In Character Map find a font with the Euro symbol in it - Arial if you've
installed the M$ font update - and copy it. Go to Excel's Format Menu, select
Cells; Custom. Pick one that's close to what you want and paste in the
character at the front or replacing what's there already. On my system, (W2k
SP4 / Office 97, UK) the custom formats already include GBP signs.

[Don't get me stirred up about non-US currency symbols and sending them as
text across the net!]
