AFAIK, MS has not publicly stated what changes are due for MM. If they
haven't anyone who knows will be under NDA and it would be a violation of
that NDA to tell anyone not under NDA.

There was an XP chat back in June about WMM2, some of the comments in the
transcripot
(http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...akerjune03.asp)
would imply that Microsoft has at least begun the process of thinking about
the next version.
