For Powerpoint 2000 running on a win98 machine, when I hit
CTRL-O to open a file, it locks on the file selection
screen. (need to do the 3 finger salute and end task)
however, if I user the toolbar's file open, it works
fine. Anyone knows what's happening?

Hi VidKid,

Does it do the same thing when you press ALT-F, then O?
Do you have any add-ins, macros loaded that could be in
conflict? It works fine when I hit CTRL-O in PPT2000.

Hey VidKid,

Couple of quick questions.

When you are in notepad or some other program (NOT PowerPoint) and you hit
Ctl-O, what happens? Is it possible that you have set a system shortcut
that is interfering with the local shortcut?

Also, are there any add-ins, Com add-ins, Macros, or Script running with
PowerPoint that may be trying to capture a keyboard command?

It works normally on my system, so I'd guess the above is happening
