CTRL+C doesn't terminate ANYTHING, only CTRL+BREAK works.

Hi,

Anyone know what stops CTRL+C from working. On 3 different WinXP PRO
systems I have seen:

1. Both CTRL+C and CTRL+BREAK work
2. Only CTRL+C work
3. Only CTRL+BREAK work

This is getting annoying...

Thanks for any help,
Dennis

What application or applications? My experience is that some apps trap
this and some don't -- some respond to these keys and some don't respond
to all of them.

Your right (or at least I've found a case where CTRL+C works).
Perhaps my app has different versions on the different machines I'll
check into that.

Thanks,
Dennis

One thing that has an effect is whether you are running the command
prompt as a different user. If you are, CTRL-C is often disabled.

Avoid using PING -T when running as a different user!

That could explain a lot as I do use admin command windows a lot.

Thanks,
Dennis
