Ctrl-alt S doesn't work

Can't find where I can customize the send/receive button so it automatically
checks two of my four accounts. Now, I can only get "all accounts" or the
accounts individually.

Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Setup-> button Send/Receive-> Edit

You need to post your version. You customize the Accounts by Groups and then
customize the Send Receive settings to arrange which accounts are checked for
mail. Look under Tools>send-receive>send/rec settings>define send/receive
groups. Then you can set up diff groups for diff accts and select the mail
polling settings.
