I am not familiar with windows XP, and here at my grandmother's house I cannot use the ctrl alt delete function. There's some annoying adware that I'm trying to locate and remove, and I can't do it without ctrl alt del. Windows' built-in help only referred me to some articles that were only applicable for windows 95 and 98. any suggestions for how to enable ctrl alt del?

This should answer your questions if it does not work you have a virus!
Boot in safe mode and run your AV software or even better use you AV boot cd
and run a scan!

well, neither of those things worked so I guess I'm going to have to boot in safe mode and run AV. Thanks though, I'll let you know how that works out

Hi,

Go to www.dougknox.com and select WinXP Utilities. Follow Doug's directions
for creating emergency copies of the system utilities. This should help
until you can remove the virus.
