On my laptop, the Ctrl/Alt/Delete window shows briefly
and then disappears. It stays put on my pc. Anyone know
how to get it to stay?

Also, tapping the mousepad doesn't work, I have to push
the left button to advance or select an action. Anyone
know why? I went to Control Panel and Mouse but a remedy
is not mentioned there.

Thank you.

Hi there,

The Ctrl+Alt+Del problem you're having smells like a
virus or adware/spyware. Make sure you have the latest
anti-virus definitions and run a few adware/spyware scans.

As for the touchpad problem, were you ever able to use it
to tap-to-click? Did you install an external mouse with
separate drivers (like a Logitech or Microsoft mouse)?
These may have overridden the tap function that your
touchpad came with. If you do have third party software
for a mouse, uninstall it and see if this helps.

Hope this helps,

Nick

For the mousepad, go to mouse in control panel, click on "Device Settings" tab, then click on "Settings". The tap settings are located there

As for your mousepad issue, it's likely that a special driver is needed to
enable the "tap to click" feature. Consult with your laptop manufacturer to
see if such a driver is available.
