http://www.cmake.org/Wiki/CMake_Testing_With_CTest

Maybe that will help?

Are you running any C++ software? Google CTest and look there.

................................................................................................

Thanks for the responses from all, of which yours seems to be the best Rich.
This whole segment is unfamiliar and leaves me wondering why it is on my
machine. Is this basic equipment from MS? There are two movies in these
files, one is 56 MB and until happening upon this file had not seen either
mpeg.

Guess I was looking for a short answer without having to spend time on the
resolution - probably find it right after my next free lunch

Cheers, David

C++ software? He** no - never even heard of it...then again that doesn't
mean I am not running something fitting under this heading:

Prior to visiting here I did Google CTest and quickly became disinterested
in unraveling the concept/theory/mechanics and so forth.

Was hoping for a short answer like...."That's bad mojo - kill it" Ok ok,
don't all send 'kill it' to me now

Tks David

Not an MS product at all. No idea why it is on your system but it didn't
come with Windows. CMake is an open source programming tool, apparently from
Kitware.

Hi RalfG,
Yup, got that. I've opened all the files and find no clues as to what this
is or was used for. The program has:
4 files, C1 to C4
1 file mmf

followed by 4 lcmthrd(variant 1 to 4).log files
followed by 4 CTestCat. 1 or 2 or 3 or 4
1 of CTestInt.log
CTestLog.Txt
4 of cthread(pick a file number 1 to 4).log

references to mid // avi // mpg // wav and various checks of one file
against another

All Martian to me. Still though, would like to discern where it came from or
why it is here before I kill it...

Cheers - David

And what do you see for the attributes listed under the Version tab
when you right-click on the file(s) under that path to look at their
properties? The author might be identified along with program name
which could jostle your failing memory as to what you installed
previously. Did you do a search in the registry on "\program
files\ctest" to see if that path was mentioned under a more
identifiable keyname there? Since the user usually gets the option to
select the path of where to install a program, the path is probably
not relevant to identifying the program versus mentioning the
program's filename(s).

No nibbles back in techarena.in where you posted 21 hours ago, eh?

I have a sneaking suspicion that you obtained a used computer from
someone else and are now trying to clean it up. Rather than try to
clean it up and still be left with a polluted system, save your data
files, reformat the partition, and do a fresh OS install.
