CTAvSTUB Error Message

While loading Windows XP Professional Upgrade, at
the "Installing Devices" stage of the install, a gray box
appeared with a big round red circle with a white "X" on
it. The top part of the gray box read: "CTAvSTUB".
There was only one option - Click OK. I did this at 34
minutes remaining and initially, the gray box turned into
a larger rectangular box with nothing in it covering
the "XP Features Descriptions" area of the install
progress screen.

At the next new feature description screen, the retangular
screen went into the background, but I could still see a
small portion of it just to the left of the "XP Features
Description" area. The Features Descriptions kept
scrolling through and started again with those already
seen. The 4 alternating blinking boxes at the lower right
kept blinking.

But, the status remained on 34 minutes, there was no CD
activity and no cpu activity. Eventually, I re-booted my
pc and ran into the same problem again.

Any suggestions?
