I have an existing Crystal Report Version 9 report that I need to modify. The report
pulls data from the database by using a stored procedure and storing the information
in a dataset. I changed the stored procedure to pull another field. I changed the dataset
to hold another field. That all works fine. But when I try to get Crystal reports
to recognize I have a new field in the dataview, that's when the trouble begins...
I do a right click of the database fields and get rid of the old dataview. and I
navigate to an XML file that has the new formatted information in it. and then
I try to add that to the report. The flag is there in the drop down list of the view,
but the report doesn't run anymore...I get the error 'Missing parameter field current value"
Any suggestions would be helpful....I did read online somewhere that you can't change
the dataset at all or the report don't work, but there has to be a work around other
than a total rewrite of this report....
Thanks..
