I just bought a used IBM Thinkpad 600 and I just recently
replaced the OS with XP Pro and for some reason I don't
get any sound from the speakers. I know the speakers work
because when the system had WIN98se it was working fine.
I tried downloading a copy of the updated drivers from
driverguide.com and still no luck. I looked in the
device manager and found that one component (Crystal WDM
Audio Codec) has an exclamation mark over it. I double
clicked on the component and device status box is
reporting that the device cannot start.
Please help me out.
