The world has been ravaged by a series of climatic disasters and society is on the verge of total breakdown. Now the aliens have returned, with a full invasion force bent on nothing less than the total annihilation of mankind, starting by trying to rip the heart out of Earth's most iconic city. In New York, terrifying alien invaders stalk the streets and a nightmare plague strikes down the city's myriad inhabitants with brutal epidemic speed. Crysis 2 PS3 'performs better than 360 version'

Crytek has admitted that it's getting "slightly more performance" out of the PS3 version of Crysis 2 than the Xbox 360 edition.

However, the studio's business development boss Carl Jones said he was confident the game would become the best-looking title "on every platform".

Our man Ryan saw just a snippet of gameplay running on PS3, and said it looked exactly the same as the 360 version. But now it appears that over the course of the title, Sony's system might have the edge.

No Surprises Here, But Crysis 2 Looks Best on PC

Time to make sure that your gaming rig is Crysis 2-ready, because people will be asking you. It's no secret that Crytek is spending some time to make sure that Crysis 2 will be one of the best looking games on consoles, but make no mistake, it will still look the very best on the PC.

That should have never been in question, but recent technical demonstrations have taken place on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which potentially worried the PC faithful. Crytek CEO Cervat Yerli says there's nothing to be worried about.

"PC is the best looking version, yeah," he answers, in a CVG story. "But if I had shown it on PC, it would have been like... okay, Crysis 2 is on console, but they're not showing the console version. So we wanted to go with console."

Hogwash, the place has only existed for a few hundred years, London, Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff have been around since before the Romans visited and I'll gamble London has more icons known worldwide than NY.
