I have scanned my computer repeatedly and come up clean
for viruses. I am still getting the pop up window RPC and
NT shutdown in 60 seconds. I have tried downloading and
installing the XP patch, but when I try to run it, I get
this error message: Could not verify the integrity of
Update.inf. Make sure the cryptographic service is
running on this computer.
I have checked the service, and I have stopped it and
restarted it a dozen times. But still get this message.
Am I missing something? I have run out of options and
Dell is no help whatsoever. I am sorry if this is a
repeat from another time, but Im still stuck. Someone
please tell me what to do.

Start > Run > "Services.msc"

Search for Cryptographic services in the right panel, and change it to
Automatic
