crypt 32 error in event log

XP Home SP3

My Computer shutdown and restarted. In Event Viewer is Error Source crypt
32 Event 11. The following info is in Error properties :
"Failed extract of third-party root list from auto update cab at:
<http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab>
with error: A required certificate is not within its validity period when
verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed
file."

There is also a similar error with Event 8.

Any ideas what caused this?
