Even with Dabs' delivery charge, it still works out £1.10 cheaper than direct from Crucial. A good price indeed.

Of course, you don't get the same support from Dabs as you do from Crucial, so that's one thing to consider.

I notice at time of writing Dabs have 350 in stock. Looks like them 256Mb sticks ain't shifting too quick any more.

Yes. And all the prices you see listed at Crucial include postage.

That's the first time I've ever seen a reseller selling for less than Crucial (considering postage costs).

I have often seen reseller prices beating Crucial direct prices.

Due to the regularly fluctuating market for memory, it is very difficult to moniter every reseller price and for crucial to offer their best price. Crucial obviosly have a set profit margin to keep, whereas resellers can sometime offer great prices in order to shift stock, and any lessened profit margin on the item is usually subsidised by higher profits on alternative sales.

Now that made sense when it first came into my head....but i'm not sure it does now i have typed it. Whatever, make of it what you will.

Don't worry, it makes perfect sense

Common sense too, really.

But, it was still a first for me, seeing a reseller supplying Crucial memory for less than Crucial
