Whenever I try to connect windows 98 or 95 PC's, I can only see the machines
in the Network Browser if I use NetBEUI, and not using TCP/IP alone, even
though it uses NetBIOS over TCP by default.
Anyone can explain this odd behaviour to me ?

If the TCP/IP parameters aren't configured properly, then it probably
falls back on NetBEUI. Make sure you have assigned unique IP addresses
to your two computers that are in the same subnet (as specified by the
subnet mask).

HTH,

I have assigned addresses 192.168.01 and 192.168.02 to respectively. But
unfortunately I'm not using the PC's now.
