the easiest approach (for me) is to use CTRL-A (SelectAll) and the press
F9 (UpdatedFields). This updates all fields in the current document.
Well, it updates all fields in the current StoryRange (i.e., the main
text story or the headers and footers, wherever you cursor is at the
moment), but that usually suffices ...
