Charlie,
This is because when you use Photo Album to add the pictures it either puts
the pictures in the background or into an autoshape. Neither of these can be
cropped or re-centered. If you want to insert multiple pictures to multiple
slides at once, and have them remain croppable, I recommend using Shyam's
Image Importer Wizard. Information on this tool and others like it can be
