kbid=824146#WinXP" - but they all seem to be for WinXP 64-
bit? Is that correct? That's why I asked what my WinXP
was, and you said 32-bit.
I also notice on that page:

computer, use the KB 824146 scanning tool
(KB824146scan.exe) or use the Microsoft Baseline Security
Analyzer (MBSA) tool. For additional information about

That is what I was talking about when I said - would it be
hard to execute? Would it do any harm to our computer or
to WinXP? What would it tell us if we had or did not have
KB824146 and KB823980??
If you don't know, no need to answer. I think this is
getting a bit too difficult for us neophytes. If you have
