Do you mean Windows XP Service Pack 1?
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Last known good configuration.
Otherwise...
Reboot tapping, Select Safe Mode this time.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel
Select "Service Pack 1" and uninstall it.
If the above fail, perform a Repair Installation:
