Hello All -

Last Spring, I created (with the help of this NG) a comprehensive
Forecasting package for use by all of my stores (30+) -- this package
is highly automated, allowing users to focus on analysis vs data-entry
(from a maintenance perspective). One of the most appreciated
features in the 'upgrade-abilty' of the package -- for various
reasons, it's been necessary to publish upgrades periodically. Due to
the significant amount of initial setup (read: data entry), I
established a procedure that users to 'import' (via macro) data from
their old package into the new version. While this set-up has worked
OK to date, the new version of the package (for the next Fiscal Year)
has been expanded and now the 'upgrade' feature has become very slow!
So, I'm looking for ideas on how to modify my process ...

The new package contains approx 20 sheets, with varying degrees of
data-entry required ..... some sheets require alot of data-entry (upto
200 cells), while others are basically Summary sheets with very little
data-entry (<5 cells). ALL user-entered data fields are YELLOW (the
light one, not the bright one).

The most common reason to publish an upgrade is the incorporation of a
new Account Number -- this results in a row being inserted. My
current 'work-around' for importing data uses Look-Ups, which is
slow. My code also loops through the Yellow cells, valuing them out
and clearing out the #N/A's.

Any/all ideas are appreciated and considered .... I'm happy to forward
(via private email) a shell of the package for visual reference.

Thanks for your help with this initiative!

Regards,
Ray
