I had the same problem. When I was using Win98se I was
using a SB Live, Value card with no problems. When I
installed WinXP, the SBLive,5.1 card was installed with
it. I kept getting the same message you did. No SB
detected. I removed the SBLive,5.1 and reinstalled the
SBLive, Value and it works fine....go figure!
