I cannot get my Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS working with Windows Vista Build
5384. I've tried the KX-project drivers but they just don't work for me.
Does anyone know if either Microsoft or Creative Labs will be releasing any
drivers soon? I only want something basic!

Thanks,

Fork.

If your internet connection is working in Windows Vista, I suggest you try
obtaining the drivers through Windows Update. Click Start > All Programs >
Windows Update > Turn on Windows Update. A list of available updates will
then be downloaded, you will have the option to view them, do so and check
off the appropriate drivers you need and click Install.

Thanks, but Windows Update isn't suggesting any driver updates for me. Do
you have any other suggestions? Creative Labs hardware is pretty standard
stuff after all!

Its possible that your card is just no supported right now, I would send in
a feedback and file a driver request:

Have you tried the Creative beta drivers for the Audigy series released last
November?

THey don't work on the new build. I've tried using XP64 drivers as they
usually work but no joy this time. They're shown as correctly installed
but there's no audio using the speaker jack.

I really find this ludicrous on Creative's part. They are THE sound card
manufacturer, and they can't even BOTHER to get some beta drivers together?
But then again, they have never been too "creative" in driver developement
anyway. Their updqtes are few and far between - even on current hardware.

The NOVEMBER drivers DON'T work. All I get is beeps and/or crackle coming
out of my speakers. It's NOT November, it's 7 months later! I am foregoing
Vista because I cannot stand a SILENT PC.

I don't even get the Beta driver installed! It Crashes on install and gives
me the blue screen! And the WDM drivers are not supporting more than Stereo.
Anyone a solution?

Have you tried the latest drivers from Creative?
I got my Audigy 2 ZS running using the beta drivers posted on the Creative
website.
Did not have any problems at all.
