I want to create a template from an existing web page. My
book tells me it will have tem extension, when I go to
look for it I can not find it. Does the file
automatically change the extension to htm?

Thanks in advance

Hi Lisa

open your page that you want to make a template in Frontpage
Go to File | Save As
In the 'Save As' dialog box that pops up
Where it says 'Save as type' there is a drop down menu press the arrow and
scroll down select .tem which is at the bottom of the list.
Press Save

your page is now a template and available from the File | New | More Page
Templates | My Templates tab.
