I would like to place a shortcut on my desktop that specifically runs IE6 and
goes to a specific website. Currently, I have a Favorite in IE6 for this
website. I also have a shortcut on my desktop, but the shortcut will
specifically use my default browser. Sometimes I have my default set to
other products, but I always want IE to be the program that accesses the
particular web site involved here. Is it possible to create a shortcut that
will ALWAYS run IE6 and load the desired page?

So what happens when you define a shortcut to run iexplore.exe (you may have
to include the full path to the executable file)? What happens when you add
the URL to the web site after the program's executable file in the shortcut?

Thanks. I had tried including the URL within the quotation marks surrounding
the path to the executable file. By placing http://www.<company>.com I was
able to get the correct page to load in IE in a maximized window.

Kurt from a.b.p.m.s. ?

Anyhow open the page you want in IE. Right click in the page. Select create
shortcut. It'll put one on the desktop for you.
