I have Outlook 2007 with Server 2003 and I have found that I can not make
enough rules to send emails from my inbox to new folders that i have made. I
like having emails grouped for easy access when you are seaching for old
emails. I guess Microsoft feels that we should have a finite amount of rules.

I disagree that multiple folders is a good way to organize email. Millions is
not a way to go but 25 or 30 is a good way to go.

I am using exchange server 2003.

Nice article... does not apply to the situation.

The problem is that Exchange 2003 will not me have as many rules as I want.
Think about what the desired outcome is. You have a supplier with say 15 - 20
people that send you emails. It would be nice to group all of those emails in
one folder. Now lets say you have 10 suppliers, that would require 200
different rules for those emails. Outlook with Exchange can not handle this,
unless I do not know how to work the program...

Just my opinion... but I could be wrong

I'm sure there is a KB for the problem - I just don't know the # offhand.
Every previous version of Exchange has the limitation - not outlook. You'll
need to upgrade to Exchange 2007 if you need more rules. (I can't imagine
managing 200 rules in Outlook.)
