I would like to be able to create a page from a MS Word
doc that has embedded objects (excel chart).

I start with a 'template' htm, copy and paste from the
word doc. Seems to work fine until I make an edit to the
page. When I do that the charts seem to disappear.

Any ideas?

On the web items are not embed, they are linked, so your Excel chart must be a separate file or
image, the is insert (linked) into your HTML page.
