I have two seperate databases, one in Access 2000 format and the other in
Access 2003. I want to create a new Access 2007 database and merge the data
to be all in this one new database but I am not sure how I go about this and
what needs to be done first.

Q1: Do I create a blank database first based on the tables in the old
database and then import the data to the new one?
Q2: what will happen to the data in the related tables?
Q3: Staff ID in first database is not the same as the second database, how
do I merge the data?

I appreciate any help or directions to resources to help me develop this
database.

Hi,

if I get a job as you described, I split the task in steps:
1/ analyse the first database
2/ analyse the second database
3/ see where the 2 are the same and where they are different
4/ analyse your current needs
5/ make up a new design using the results of all previous analyses
6/ make an import plan and run a test
7/ import the old data in your new project
