Hi All!

We have an Access program to manage our orders.

Our order no.’s have a prefix “CA-“”.

I was wondering if it is possible to make a memory-resident program in VB
or C++ which enables us to click on any text starting with “”CA-“” in any
program (word file, email or any HTML Page) and connect it to our access
database.

Alternatively, if we move the mouse to any text on “CA-“ on any page in any
program, we get a tool-tip, on which if we click we get connected to the
access program.

I am sorry if this question is not related to this board. Any clue will be
highly appreciated.

Many thanks!
Avir

Sounds like the kind of thing Smart Tags are supposed to do. I haven't done
any work with them myself, so can't comment on how well they work or how
difficult they are to develop, but you could check out the Smart Tag SDK web
page ...

Thanks Brendan for showing me the right direction!
I am sure I will find a solution to this problem.
