Here's the scoop...

Screenshot of the problem: http://priorityonefinancial.com/fp.gif

Let's say I have a one page open and I've added the text "Click Here" and I
want that to link to another page that is currently in my website. I *CAN*
see the file I wish to link to the left (Folder List view). I highlight the
"Click Here" text and click the "Insert Hyperlink" toolbar icon (the global
with the chain). When I do the "Look in" shows the current folder I'm in.
The area below is only displaying the files that are currently open for
editing. I do *NOT* see any of the file to link to that *DO* show in the
Folder List view.

Same issue but in the Folder List view... Let's say I've just create a
sub-folder - lets call it "Summer". Added several pages in the "Summer"
folder and perhaps even an image folder in the "Summer" folder as well. Now,
I close FP and restart it. It open back to my last web and... HEY, the
"Summer" sub-folder is *NOT* listed in the Folder List view.

This is happing on two systems. One was an upgrade from FP 2002 to FP 2003
and one was a fresh install of FP 2003.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!!

Hi John,

Try this, go to network places and if you do not have a webfolder pointing
to your website, add one.
Then open it and check if it shows all the files - it probably won't.
If it doesn't, then delete all webfolders and reinstall it using
webfldrs.msi command.

Regards,
Vijay

You're correct, when I look at them network places I don't see anything
listed under them. When you say delete all the webfolders should I just
right click on each one of them in network places and select delete. Then
run webfldrs.msi? I did that and there was nothing under network places. I
then started FP and exited then check network places and my web was back,
but like last time it had nothing listed under it. Have I done something
incorrect? When these have been deleted do I create them by hand before
starting FP?

Hi John,

Looks like the webfolders on your system are having trouble. Try each step
in this KB Article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=287402
Then without using FP, you could add a new network place and point it to
your website and create it. If it creates correctly and you are able to see
the files then FP will work correctly. In that KB check mainly for the
MSDAIPP folder (ensure its not readonly).

Let me know the result.

Regards,
Vijay

I did just about everything in that article. Still no luck. So I tried
connecting to my local web and it worked fine. Therefore, I must conclude
that it is nothing wrong with FP2003 and something to do with IIS on my
Win2K Server box. I've just repaired my FP2002 Server Extensions and am
waiting for the day to end before I can reboot the server. I'll let you know
what happens. Did anything else come to mind?
