Hi!

We are trying to add two views (pre-defined by us and
added to the oops). The views do not appear when Outlook
installes! Hopefully I am describing the problem
understandably.....
(OS Windows2000 or WindowsXP)

Also, I tried editing the general view "Messages",
or "Messages with auto preview" - the changes disappear
here aswell.

Searching technet and likewise wasn't very helpful I am
afraid. The Exchange admin had no suggestions either.

Anyone got a clue?

Thanks on beforehand,
Florence

Outlook 2000 provides no way to install customized views for users.

Sue! Thank you, though your answer was discouraging.

Does Outlook 2003 support this?

I guess there is absolutely no way around it? Where are
the "view settings" stored? If they are set in a specific
file, I could copy it to each client?!

I am having a hard time accepting that there is no way
around it!

Thanks again,
Florence

No files are involved. View settings are hidden items stored in users' folders. Outlook 2002 and later versions provide a View.XML property that could be used to script the creation of new views or modification of existing views.
