Ok so this is a question that might not have an answer but...

Lets say I have a file with a long (very long) list of data, one of the columns has a stairstep function that goes, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1

I want an easy way to say "Take all of the rows that have 1 and are before 2 and then run them through this formula, say =sum(all those rows), then in the next cell down do =sum(of all the rows that have 2 and are before 3)"

with over 100 pages in this excel sheet, each sheet has 20 columns and 10000 rows, i need a quicker way to crunch this data.

Oh, and it would be like sum all of column a where column b has a 1 and is before all the 2's
