I want to create a form in the Master view that contains preset text in a
table with cells. When they go to Normal view I want them to enter text in
the blank cells of the form. Currently I can't get it to happen.

I started in the Normal view since Page Layouts won't work in the Master
slide view. In Normal view I used the Page Layout option with a table,
enlarged the table, entered text in some cells and then copied it to memory.
I then went to Master slide, copied the table into the slide. At that point
you can still edit all of the cells. I then change to Normal view and the
text in the cells displays, but none of the empty cells can you write in. Is
there any way to create the form with some cells filled in and others
editable in the Normal view.

Hi,

PowerPoint doesn't currently support creating custom placeholders in the
Slide Master and that's what you'd need. You'll have to place your table(s)
directly on the slides to be edited. Sorry.

I think it would also be great if you could use the Page Layouts in the Master slides also. I checked a bunch of books and other sites and had no luck finding an answer, so it's good to know, even if it's a no answer.
