Creating Form Fields that copy other Form Fields

I am trying to create a template of a report in Word 97 that I send to various clients. In that report I enter specific information that relates to that client and that information may change each time I send them a report. I am using Form Fields to enter text at certain locations in the report. Is there any way that a subsequent Form Field in that report can copy an entry previously made? For instance, can Form Field #5 copy the information entered into Form Field #1?

Robert,

No. But you don't need formfield#5 if you want to duplicate formfield#1
data in one or more alternate locations. By defualt Word assigns Text1 as
the bookmark name to the first text formfield in your document. To
duplicate this information at alternate locations use a REF field pointing
to the bookmark (e.g., { REF Text1 }. Double click the Text1 formfield and
ensure the option "calculate on exit" is checked.

Hi Robert,

By default, each formfield has a bookmark assigned to it, so at the location
where you want the information from a previous formfield to appear, instead
of inserting a formfield, insert a cross reference to the text of the
bookmark assigned to the formfield in which the information will be entered.
In the Properties dialog of that form field, check the Calculate on exit box
so that the cross reference will be updated with the information that is
entered when exiting from the formfield.
